Thank you so much for your service. I am really happy with my Rad, thanks also to Dave who is also very like me. I am a fussy person too and this makes your life a very busy one, and it is hard to find time for everything. But he did give me some time while I faffed around in his Toy Cuboard, and got some bits to play about with. So big thanks to him too, and it wont be too long I am sure until I am back routing through his stuff again…

I recently purchased eight Cast iron radiators from David and Emily at Salvage doctor.
I had spent several months searching in vein looking into imported cast iron radiators companies, then stumbled across the Salvage doctor.
I visited their workshops and when I saw a Princess, British made original radiator, I knew I had found exactly what I was looking for.
I then realized that I had fallen lucky, because not only where the radiators great, but the knowledge and workmanship that Dave and Emily offered, meant that I have now become the very proud owner of the most amazing radiators and enjoying a small piece of our great British heritage, totally “Made in Britain”

We recently replaced our boring old mass produced radiators with cast iron rads. After calling a few companies for quotes were so impressed with Salvage Doctors that we decided to go with them – even though they weren’t our nearest dealers. They even opened up especially for us so that we could have a look at the rads (at a time convenient for us) before we made up our mind. We found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful yet they never pushed us at all. We were kept up to date with when they would be ready and sent us regular pictures. At every step of the way they were more than happy to answer any (and believe me we had a lot) of our questions. We’ve now got the radiators installed and they’re amazing! Thanks Salvage Doctor!
I run a small independent central heating firm, a large percentage of my work involves the refurbishment of listed buildings, more specifically the heating systems within them. Over the years I have dealt with various suppliers of traditional style radiators and valves, none of whom get anywhere close to the quality of the products that The Salvage Doctor can supply. The orders have always been delivered on time if not before they are needed and have been 100% in terms of appearance, standard of finish and have always been mechanically sound. I recommend all of my clients to them.

I can’t rate this company highly enough. The refurb of our radiator has transformed an old peeling radiator into a thing of beauty. Not only that, the power flush to the insides has made it so much more efficient. Collected and delivered to the door – cant’ ask for more than that. Dave and his team really know their stuff.
We cannot recommend Salvage Doctors highly enough. From our first meeting, they have been in constant contact through the whole process of helping us choose our radiator styles, double-checking the BTUs, placing our order, to delivery. The radiators are OUTSTANDING and even better than I could have imagined.We are renovating a 16th century watermill with a rustic, industrial style and these radiators just fit in perfectly. Our project is a real work in progress and we are working bit by bit, as we live here already. Emily and Dave have provided us with six radiators and valves (which are also the business) and we are looking forward to doing more business with them throughout the project.

Apologies for the lack of reply over the last week – we’ve started knocking the kitchen out, so it’s been a busy few days.
The rad’s arrived with no issues, I’ve only unwrapped one – but it looks superb, I’m really pleased that I went down the refurbished route instead of “new” replica’s, I don’t think they’d have been a patch on what you’ve supplied.
Likewise on the valves, I know I teetered on the “how much!!” for each set, but as I mentioned to my wife after examining the originals and a copy pair on-line, the devil is in the detail – which was apparent even from the on-line pictures. The valves you’ve supplied which are UK manufactured are simply stunning in terms of quality…. I know from what Dave said it’s a hard sell to convince someone over the ‘phone to spend the extra cash, when there’s something which looks similar at 2/3rds the price on-line.
I can honestly state that after taking the plunge and purchasing the valves, there’s nothing that can compare – and as Dave stated, the extra cost is justified. I’d already done my research but your company has just exemplified all the qualities that I appreciate – an excellent product, at a fair price, with excellent service and communication. I used the term “fair price” on purpose, I think you supply quality items that easily surpasses the reproduction versions, the reproductions are pretty much the same price as what you’re selling – but you have a semblance of provenance (they’re original) and they’re re-cycled. As discussed with Dave, when I work my way around the house – they’ll be future orders…

I had 10 cast iron radiators that were far past their prime – 50 years worth of paint and sludge meant they looked bad and worked worse.
I phoned around all the usual generic ‘blast and paint’ shops who, without even looking at the rads, quoted a fixed price for a fixed service.
I then contacted Dave and Emily at the Salvage Doctor who first listened to what I had, what was wrong and what I wanted. After they had looked at some photos of the rads they were able to make an informed and tailored suggestion as to what level of service I needed. They suggested a finish that matched my idea perfectly and they then quoted a price that encompassed all the services that I needed and no more.
They collected everything quickly and safely and then set about the work.They stuck strictly to their timelines, they kept me informed throughout, sending photos and updates.
Because they had discussed everything beforehand there were no nasty surprises or hidden charges and at the end I got 10 beautiful rads back and ready to use. I can confirm these are the best radiators and valves I’ve ever fitted in my long career as a heating engineer! Beautifully restored and the valves are so much nicer than the mass produced alternatives. And as an ultimate endorsement I fitted them in my own house!
